So it begins.

I've decided to open up my own personal blog here to learn how to write at a professional level. I am no stranger to difficult tasks involving skilled work, but writing is something I've only dabbled in. Previously I have done some work as a freelance Illustrator and I hope to take the things I've learned from that experience and apply it to my writing.

Goals:

Within the year I hope to begin freelance writing. I'll start with small clients and work my way up to something steady. I'm unsure of the type of writing I'll be doing in the long term, so I'll begin here with some example pieces. I'll attempt to share my process as much as possible, from the writing process to the lands of freelancing.

Aside from my intention to share the writing process, I will never attempt to sell anything on my blog. Nor will I ever segregate my readers with pay models of any kind.

A few things to note:

The writing on this blog will indeed be awful for a long time. I will alleviate said terrible writing as best I can through learning. But please bare with me through this process.

I'll try to share tutorials and links to other writers and websites as much as I can without over doing it.
